Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9 May 2026

These terms govern your use of becomeanestateplanner.co.uk and any of the training products provided through it — including the free course, the coached programme, and any associated software subscriptions. By creating an account, enrolling on a course, or subscribing to WILLO through us, you agree to these terms.

About us

Become An Estate Planner is operated by Project Will Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Project Will Ltd. References to "you" and "your" mean the person creating the account or purchasing services.

You can contact us at info@becomeanestateplanner.co.uk or on 0333 049 5033.

What we mean by each thing

  • Free Course — the six-module legal training course covering wills, LPAs, trusts and WILLO software, made available to you free of charge after you register an account.
  • Coached Programme — our paid six-stage programme covering business set up, taking instruction, the LPA Master Class, the Trust Master Class, growing the business and WILLO mastery, delivered over a four-month period (with month 5 free).
  • WILLO — our drafting and admin software, made available as part of the Coached Programme and on a continuing subscription afterwards.

The Free Course

The Free Course is provided at no cost. No payment, payment method or financial commitment is required to access it. You may take as long as you need to complete the modules and you may stop at any time without notice.

We may modify, update or withdraw modules of the Free Course from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice through your account.

Course materials are provided for your personal learning. You may not record, copy, redistribute, resell or republish the materials in whole or in part without our written consent.

The Coached Programme

The Coached Programme is a paid, self-paced programme delivered in six stages. Two payment options are offered:

  • Pay upfront: a single payment of £700, which includes the full programme and WILLO software access throughout it.
  • Pay monthly: four monthly payments of £199 (£796 in total), with WILLO software included throughout. The four payments spread the fee; they are not a timetable for the training, which is self-paced.

Where you elect to pay monthly, the four monthly payments together form a single contracted commitment. This commitment exists because the level of 1-to-1 support, role-play sessions, video coaching and direct planner time delivered to you across the programme is allocated upfront on the basis of you completing the four-month engagement. Once you start Stage 1 on the monthly plan, you are committing to the four monthly payments.

Your statutory rights are not affected. In particular, where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply, you have a 14-day cancellation period from the date you enrol. If you ask us to begin delivery of the programme during that 14-day period and you subsequently cancel within it, we may charge for any services already supplied to you on a pro-rata basis.

Downgrading and cancelling

You may stop the Coached Programme at any time and downgrade to the WILLO software subscription at £99/month. The remaining contracted Coached Programme payments (where you have elected to pay monthly) will still be due, but your relationship with us continues on a software-only basis from that point.

The WILLO subscription continues monthly until cancelled. To cancel, give us 30 days' written notice by email to info@becomeanestateplanner.co.uk. You will be billed for the 30-day notice period, after which no further charges apply and software access will end.

Where you have paid for the Coached Programme upfront (£700), no refund is offered for change-of-mind cancellation after the 14-day statutory cancellation period, except where required by law.

WILLO software subscription

WILLO is provided as software-as-a-service. While the Coached Programme is in progress, WILLO access is included at no additional cost.

After the programme, WILLO is available at £99 per calendar month, billed in advance. You may continue, downgrade or cancel as set out in section 5.

We may apply scheduled maintenance and reasonable downtime. We do not warrant uninterrupted access. Where significant outages occur, we will use reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

Accreditation and certification

On successful completion of the Free Course, you may apply for optional Project Will accreditation. Accreditation is awarded at our discretion based on completion of all modules and assessments.

Project Will accreditation is a private accreditation issued by us. It is not a statutory or regulated qualification, and does not in itself authorise you to practise as a solicitor, financial adviser or any other regulated professional. Many of our graduates also join professional bodies such as the Society of Will Writers (SWW) or the Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW); membership of those bodies is governed by their own terms.

Training only — not regulated advice

Our courses, materials and any guidance given through them are educational in nature. They are not legal advice, financial advice or any other form of regulated advice, and must not be relied on as such by you, your clients, or any third party.

Will writing in England & Wales is currently an unregulated activity. Where you intend to take instructions from clients on completion of the Coached Programme, you are responsible for:

  • obtaining and maintaining appropriate professional indemnity insurance;
  • complying with anti-money-laundering, GDPR, and consumer-protection rules that apply to your business;
  • operating to the standards of any professional body you choose to join;
  • writing your own client-facing terms of business and complying with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 in your dealings with clients.

We provide guidance on each of these areas inside the Coached Programme, but the legal responsibility for compliance sits with you as the practitioner.

Acceptable use

You may not share login credentials, attempt to circumvent payment, scrape course materials at scale, or use the platform to harass or harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms with reasonable notice.

Intellectual property

All course materials, drafting templates, video content, software interfaces and website content remain the property of Project Will Ltd or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them for your own learning and, where you progress to running an estate planning practice, for use with your clients in the ordinary course of that practice.

You may not redistribute, resell, publish, or train AI/ML models on our materials without our written consent.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the Free Course, the Coached Programme and the WILLO subscription is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business opportunities arising from your practice.

Privacy

We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. By using the site you consent to that processing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes materially affect your rights, we will give reasonable notice through your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
